(Nasdaq:EQIX), the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced that Trammell Crow Company (NYSE:TCC), one of the nation's largest diversified commercial real estate services companies, has moved its primary IT infrastructure to an Equinix Internet Business Exchange(TM) (IBX(R)) center. The move enables Trammell Crow Company to establish direct interconnections with multiple networks participating in the center and to deploy a new IT hardware solution.
Trammell Crow Company offers building management, brokerage, project management, and development and investment services to both investors in and users of commercial real estate. Using the Equinix IBX center, Trammell Crow Company has deployed its server and data network infrastructure within the facility.
Additionally, by moving to the Equinix IBX center, Trammell Crow Company is hosting its IT operations in a high-performance environment that offers state-of-the-art security, power provisioning and HVAC/environmental control. This is essential for Trammell Crow Company's strategic migration to a next-generation, high-density infrastructure in a cost effective manner and to improve its computing capacity.
