Partnership Provides Content Providers, ASPs and eCommerce Companies with Access to World’s Largest Broadband Subscriber Base

San Jose, Calif. – April 11, 2000 – Equinix, Inc., creator and operator of the only neutral Internet Business Exchange™ (IBX™) centers and Excite@Home, today announced an agreement under which Excite@Home will be able to deploy business-to-business connectivity and managed services to Equinix IBX participants nationwide. Excite@Home’s @Work division’s “always on” data services will first be available in Equinix IBX centers in Silicon Valley, CA. and the Washington, DC area.

By participating in Equinix’s neutral IBX environment, @Work can leverage best-in-class content providers, ASPs and e-commerce companies maximize the Excite@Home end-user experience. In addition, IBX participants can gain access to leading services designed to meet their demands for superior, reliable and secure connectivity. @Work services to be initially deployed in IBX centers include @Work Dedicated Access.
